WHAT IS THE PROCESS OF EPOXY PIPE COATING?

Here at Flowfix Services, we use the Picote Coating Pump and Maxi Miller combination. A simple, fast, and practical brush-casting coating system used for drain, sewer, and vertical vent stack renovation. Epoxy Pipe Relining is a cost-effective alternative to replacing old piping. The process essentially creates a new pipe within the existing damaged pipe. While less expensive than replacing a plumbing system, epoxy coating the interior of the pipes allows for virtually zero destruction to the property. Trenchless epoxy relining also has a 50-year warranty.

EVALUATION

First, the pipes will be checked to see the extent of the damage. This can be done through the use of pipe inspection cameras that show any scale buildup, blockages, or cracks. Once we create a deficiency report we begin the planning process of applying the epoxy coating inside the pipe.

PREPARATION

Before the epoxy process begins, the pipes must be cleaned to remove any blockage. Clean the pipes first with a multi-use Picote Miller which uses chains that rotate at a high RPM which removes and buildup or debris and gets the pipe back to the original diameter. Once the pipes are cleaned we use water to finish the cleaning process which prepares the pipe to be coated. The pipes will then be checked a second time, where the length of the lining will be determined.
